Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2020 and a new decade!!
But, is it really a new decade? There’s a lot of debate about whether or not we just kicked off a new decade. I personally choose to believe that we DID kick off a new decade, and I was thrilled to bring some extra special celebration to this New Year!!
The decade debate reminds me how arbitrary most things really are, and how much power we have to each have to create our own reality. Each of us in the Ellivate Alliance started our business with a vision, and we’re just making it up as we go. Sure, this might feel crazy-making (and scary!!) at times, but it’s also what makes it so fun!!
During our Ellivate Immersion program, I share a presentation with our women called An Invitation to Play in the Dimension of Possible. The Dimension of Possible is an elevated place where fear is no longer the enemy, and love reigns. In this place, we know we are a unique contribution, our relationships flourish, and time expands.
One of the ways we can all access the Dimension of Possible is by embracing a beginner’s mindset.
Many of us believe we’re supposed to have (or find!) all the answers. The thing is – when we think we know what the answer is, there are no more possibilities available to us. All we see is the answer we think we know. (Besides, doesn’t it feel exhausting to feel like we have to have all the answers, all the time?)
Creating new solutions or ideas – innovation – this happens outside of what we think we know!
This New Year, in those moments when you feel like you have no idea what you’re doing, I challenge you to embrace the power of a beginner’s mindset. Channel your inner child – that beautiful soul who is always questioning, dreaming, and wondering.
After all, YOU are the creator of your life. We’re all making it up as we go. Why not decide to make up something amazing in 2020?!
