When you work alone, it can be easy to get stuck in limited ways of thinking. After all, we are each limited by our own experiences and perceptions. We don’t often realize what we’re not seeing or the ways we may be holding ourselves back.
When we choose to work with someone else, that person can challenge our perspective. We can expand our learning and gain access to new thoughts and ideas. We can create an upward spiral of ideas as we build off one another’s thoughts.
Collaboration is more than just a way of working together. It’s the desire to create in companionship with another person’s thoughts, emotions, and energy. Collaboration requires an attitude of generosity and a bias toward clear communication. True collaboration is a relationship that elevates everyone it impacts.
